Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Deputy General Secretary and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Naib Amir Liaquat Baloch said on Sunday that JI legislators would not attend any house session till the next meeting of the MMA Supreme Council.
The MMA would be strengthened at all costs while no compromise would be made on the principles, he added.
According to a JI statement issued here on Sunday, Baloch said that the present rulers had given nothing to the masses except poverty, price hike, unemployment and lawlessness. The MMA leader said that despite claims of socio-economic growth by rulers people were starving and youths were compelled to commit suicides due to unemployment.
He charged obscenity and vulgarity was being systematically patronised by rulers.
The JI leader said that rifts were being created between people and respected national institutions due to the government's steps like operations in Waziristan and Balochistan as a result the national integrity of the country had been put at stake. He said that the time had come to launch a mass drive to oust the rulers, adding it was useless to sit in present assemblies any longer.
