Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and Pakistan People's Party have agreed on formation of an impartial interim government so that the coming general election could be made transparent, PPP acting chief Amin Faheem said after meeting Nawaz Sharif in London.
He said they reviewed their relationship and measures to step up efforts to ensure free and fair elections. The two sides have not yet agreed on dates for the proposed APC to be called by the PML (N).
PML-N leader Ishaq Dar, who was also present in the meeting, said that Amin had conveyed a special message of his party chairperson, Benazir Bhutto, to Nawaz Sharif. "Joint struggle for true democracy and success of APC would continue," he added.
Ishaq said that next meeting of Benazir and Nawaz would be held in London. He said the APC declaration and invitation were discussed in the meeting.
Dar said that there "are no differences" between PML-N and PPP, and added that PPP and PML-N would jointly work for revival of 'real democracy'.
