The District Coordination Officer Karachi, Fazlur Rehman, has vowed that the milk in city would sell Rs 28 per liter as suggested by the committee formed by the CDGK.
The government will take punitive action against the retailers as well as against wholesalers if they do not follow the city government's directives, and the government will also not tolerate any strike call or threatening in this regard, he said while chairing a meeting in his office on Saturday night.
The meeting, which was also attended by EDO (enterprises and investment promotion) Hassan Abbas Naqvi, Additional EDO (Revenue) Matanant Ali Khan, President Retailers Association Hafiz Nisar Gaddi as well as office-bearers of associations and officials concerned.
