The Karachi Port handled 286,094 tonnes cargo including 208,200 tonnes import and 77,894 tonnes export cargo during last 72 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 188,090 tonnes dry cargo including 138,641 tonnes general cargo; 10,578 tonnes fertiliser; 34,677 tonnes coal; 600 tonnes rock Phosphate; 3,594 tonnes rice and 98,004 tonnes oil/liquid cargo
Twenty ships namely Sima Pars, Oel Aishwarya, Oel Esteem, Wan Hai-315, Hayley Nadhi, Iran Sattari,YM Sun, Cosco Panama, Kama Bhum, Bunga Kenari, Mol Kauri, Gulf Bridge, Victory-1, MT Lalazar, Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal Pvc, Oriental Orchid, Amar Muhieddine, Multan, Pacific Pioneer and Atlantic Express sailed out to sea during the report period.
Sixteen vessels viz Corinthiakos, Iran Sattari, Gulf Bridge, Mol Kauri, Victory-1, Sancris, Atlantic Express, Iron Butterfly, Frederike Oldendorf, Cosco Panama, Sima Pars, Talyoh-II, Wan Hai-315, Hayley Nadhi, Kerasia-S and MT Shalamar are currently at the berths.
One ship namely Mac Aadresew Swala is expected to sail on Wednesday. Five vessels viz Stolt Ami, DD Vigor, Sinar Kudus, Ali-15 and Al-Barakah due to arrive on Tuesday, while seven ships namely Gemini, Star-1, Oel Patrior, YM Faha, Hyundai Future, Golden Win and Yasmina are due to arrive on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 27,875 tonnes HSD oil; 3,333 tonnes edible oil; 5,894 tonnes rice; 4,125 tonnes seeds; 14,737 tonnes coke and 35,258 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MV Liquid Success and Nedlloyd Europa sailed out to sea during the report period. A total of two ships namely Difko Susanne and Multan are currently at the outer anchorage. No ships due to take berths on Tuesday.
