The Lahore High Court (LHC) directed District Co-ordination Officer (DCO), Lahore to appear before the court on March 06, in a petition filed by a secondary school teacher seeking implementation of the orders pertaining to her posting as Headmistress.
The court also directed the DCO to explain as to why orders regarding the posting of petitioner Shahida Malik were not implemented. Earlier, District Officer (HRM) Ali Ahmad appeared before the court and submitted that the petitioner was posted as Assistant Director in the office of EDO (Education) and added that the post had been fallen vacant a month back.
The court observed that it was on record that the post of Beadon Road, School was vacant when the petitioner had been posted. The court showing dissatisfaction over the explanation given by the officer directed DCO, Lahore to appear before the court in person and explain the position.
The petitioner submitted that she had given an application to the authorities requesting for her posting as subject specialist against vacant post at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Samanabad on February 25, 2004 but no action was taken.
