The Board of Directors of Pak Oman Micro Finance Bank held its 5th meeting on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Karachi. H.E. Yahya Bin Saeed Bin Abdullah Al-Jabri, Chairman of the Board of Directors, presided over the meeting.
The other board members who attended the meeting were, Rashid Ali Rashid Al-Khayfi, Humayun Murad, Zafar Iqbal, Ayesha Aziz, Shandana Khan and Ozair Hanafi.
Ozair Hanafi, President and CEO of the bank apprised the members of the board about the progress of the bank. He informed that State Bank has approved the bank's annual branch expansion plan of opening 20 branches in 2007.
The bank has successfully started deposit mobilisation in all its 10 branches. He was pleased to report that the results are encouraging.
He said we are focusing on the training and development needs of our staff and we have already conducted functional training workshops at Karachi and Islamabad.
In his concluding remarks the Chairman H.E. Yahya Bin Saeed Bin Abdullah Al-Jabri, appreciated the results. He again assured of his and his government's support for the poverty alleviation programme of Pakistan. -PR
