Punjab Bar Council (PBC) Free Legal Aid Committee's Chairman Rana Abdul Shakoor criticised the politicians, who were demanding postponement of general elections and said they (politicians) had no courage to face the public.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said, their demand for the enforcement of emergency was totally illegal and it was just to support the statuesque, which was resulting in anarchy and disturbance in the country. By using the article 232 of the Constitution as a cover, these so-called politicians intended to snub the basic human rights of people and the powers of the courts also, he added.
