The participants of Tour de Pakistan cycle race will reach here on Saturday (March 10) on the sixth leg of the race. They left for Bahawalpur from Rahimyar Khan on Friday morning in their fifth leg of the race. Forty-six cyclists started the fifth round.
The distance of 176 kilometres between Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalpur was cut short by two kilometres because of rough track. The cyclists would now cover the distance of 174 kilometres. New Zealand's Robin Reed kicked off the race with yellow jersey. He was the winner of the first and fourth stage of the race. Nasir Ahmed Noori of Afghanistan had an accident in the fourth round and could not take part in the fifth stage of the race.
