Capital City Police Karachi finalising contingency plan for effective control of law and order situation, protection of citizens lives and property, especially of procession to be taken out of Nishtar Park on Chehlum of Imam Hussin (RA) has completed all security measures.
The CCP Karachi in this regard gave an appraisal on Friday to Sindh IG Jahangir Mirza of comprehensive plan about security measures and deployment of police personnel.
In the plan police observation posts would be set up at all important tall buildings in route of procession, including Sea Breeze, Ghariyaly Building, Tibet Center, Mama Parsi School, Saeed Manzil, Jaffar High School, Luxmi Building, Goa Mansion, etc. The other measures include establishing temporary wireless connection and provision of binoculars to police officials. The installation of surveillance cameras at procession route would also be ensured for its better observation.
Plainclothes policemen would also be deployed in addition of formal deployment at the route and tall buildings ensuring effective search and monitoring in these areas.
According to plan, Advance Technical Sweeping Party (ATSP) of Bomb Disposal Squad scanning at Nishtar Park and other areas would ensure absence of vehicles, handcarts, etc, from the route.
ATSP will also hand over stage for Majalis in Nishtar Park to DPO Jamshed Quarters after giving clearance before an hour, besides handing over Iranian Imambargah to TPO Lyari after such process.
