Punjab Forest Department will provide technical guidance and advisory services to the citizens regarding tree plantation. This was decided in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of Punjab Forest Minister, Ashfaq ur Rehhman.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the department had adopted special measures to motivate the people to make tree plantation campaign a success. He said that Divisional Forest Officers have also started delivering lectures in educational institutions in this regard adding that people can purchase saplings and stumps at concessional rates from the sale points set up by the Forest Department.
