Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, has said that the government would introduce modern education system in the liberated territory to improve the quality and standard of education to meet the challenges of the world.
This he said while addressing the 12-day training workshop held at university of AJK here. The titled of the workshop was "The economic research and computer know how," organised by the joint venture of Kashmir Institute of Economics and Higher Education Commission.
The AJK PM said that the government has evolved a comprehensive strategy to achieve the educational target in the liberated territory. Dean of Art faculty Dr Muhammad Saleem, Director Kashmir Institute of Economics faculty Dr Nisar Hussain Hamdani, Professor Shoukat Rasool Pandit, Professor Saeeda Kousar, Muhammad Abbass of HEC, Professor Asghar Tashfan and others also addressed the workshop. The PM said that all educational institutions in AJK would be provided latest facilities to improve the efficiency and enhance the literacy rate.
He said besides promotion of the Islamic culture, research and advance knowledge in the field of education would be the government's top priority. He assured that any irrelevant activities in the educational institutions would not be allowed at any cost.
Attique said that the government is taking steps to uphold the dignity of a teacher and they would be provided opportunities at all level to increase their capability, he added. He said that teachers training centres would also be established at district level. On the occasion, he announced that new disciplines would be set up at AJK University, and in this regard he assured the provision of funds. He added that design, research and digital library would also be established in the university.
