President General Pervez Musharraf, not accepting the resignation of Dr Nasim Ashraf, has asked him to continue to serve as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman. The President has expressed the hope that under the chairmanship of Dr Nasim Ashraf the game of cricket in Pakistan would be revived.
Dr Nasim Ashraf has also been asked to determine the causes and factors behind the defeat of Pakistan team from Ireland in the World Cup league match in Jamaica.
