Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its allied parties would participate in the April 3 protest, called by lawyers' community throughout the country. Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, PML-N Central Secretary Finance PML and MNA, expressed these views, here on Monday.
He said that in addition to holding a protest on hearing of the reference against Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry in the Supreme Judicial Council in Islamabad on April 3, protest would also be held at provincial capitals and in all districts and towns. "The people in general and ARD and other parties workers in particular would also show solidarity with the lawyers," he added.
He averred that a decision to stage a protest has been made at a convention of 113 Bar Associations, Supreme Court and High Court Bars in which the people could not keep them away. He warned the government not to disturb this peaceful protest and do not use any coercive tactics to sabotage this protest otherwise the responsibility of any reaction to this subversion would lie on the shoulders of the government.
