Thin business was seen on the grain market on Saturday as most of the commodities maintained the overnight levels in process of trading, sharp rises were observed in rice prices, dealers said.
On the cereal side wheat Mexipak old quoted higher at Rs 1145-1150 and new type was at Rs 1160-1165, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was up by Rs 20 to Rs 1400 and better quality was higher by Rs 30 to Rs 1430. Basmati D-98 Shahdadkot was sharply higher by Rs 200 to Rs 3200-3300, they said. On the see seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag was up by Rs 5 to Rs 550-650, they said. Other items were unmoved.
