Lahore High Court (LHC) disposed of a petition filed by Ghazala Saad challenging detention of her husband Khawaja Saad Rafiq after his release by the government. The petitioner had approached the court for the release of her husband.
The law officer had contended before the court that detainee was detained under Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance and hence the petitioner should approach the Home Department in this regard. In the meanwhile, the government released the detainee, as a result of which the court disposed of the petition.
