Quetta Gladiators have announced the names of foreign players that would represent the franchise in the finals of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday, at Lahore.
According to media reports, Bangladesh batsman Anamul Haque, Zimbabwe Elton Chigumbura and Sean Ervine, South Africas Morn van Wyk and
West Indian pacer Rayad Emrit have been picked by the Quetta Gladiators for the PSL final.
Earlier, England cricketers Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright and Tymal Mills along with South Africas Rilee Rossouw pulled out of the tournament, after Gladiators achieved one-run victory against Peshawar Zalmi in the first play-off.
However, despite the departure of these players, the Pakistan Cricket Board insisted that foreign players would participate in the final.
Meanwhile, Gladiators skipper Sarfraz Ahmed alongside Asad Shaifq, Noor Wali, Hassan Khan and others have already reached Pakistan.
Peshawar Zalmi on the other hand has announced that the franchise would bring its current squad into the finals at Lahore. Whereas, visas has already been issued for Zalmis foreign players, including skipper Darren Sammy.
The final of the PSL, to be played between the Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi, is one of the biggest cricketing tournaments being hosted in Pakistan, in recent years.
