Brazil's stocks rose to another record close on Friday and the country's currency hit a six-year high as foreign investors poured into Latin America's largest economy. The Bovespa index of the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange gained 1.22 percent to close at 47,926 after rising as far as 47,967 to break an intraday record hit on Wednesday.
In the stock market, bellwether and oil driller Petrobras rose 2.16 percent to 47.71 reais. Mining giant CVRD climbed 0.53 percent to 69.78 reais and steelmaker Usiminas rose 4.75 percent to 94.90 reais.
