An operation against land-grabbers who are possessing TMA property worth billions of rupees for the last several years would be launched very soon, this was said by Tehsil Nazim Agha Naveed Hashim Rizvi while addressing to tehsil council meeting.
He said those corrupt officials who are backing these elements would also be nabbed.
The meeting was told that almost 90 percent property of the TMA including shops and offices in commercial areas were allotted to them on minuscule amounts of rent or lease during previous years and that these allotments were not according to the law and many allottees are also defaulters too.
Rizvi also said special meeting would called soon in this aspect and that officers concerned have been directed to submit a comprehensive report within seven days in this regard so that action could be taken against the land-grabbers and there supporters as well.
He further stated that he is trying his best to clean the city from the encroachments and in this regard a special meeting would also be arranged shortly.
