Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Tariq Azeem said the government is still optimistic that the talks on Jamia Hafsa issue will be successful. Talking to BBC Radio, he said, "there are male and female students over there. Talks are going on and we are still optimistic that these talks will be successful."
The minister said the government has no intention for the time being to carry out any operation against Jamia Hafsa. "But it does seem that some people are bent upon creating such a situation that the operation becomes inevitable," he added.
To a question, the minister said the use of force would always remain an option. "The government has a lot of resources. If we want to carry out any operation we would not have to face any problem. But we don't want any kind of operation to be carried out," he added.
