KARACHI: Sindh Information Technology department, Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) and Sindh Enterprises Development Fund (SEDF) will extend every possible cooperation to US Investor Asha Jadeja of Motwani Jadeja Foundation in establishing Fablab - Fabrication Laboratory in Karachi.
It was decided in a meeting between Sindh Minister for Information Technology, Sikander Shoro and Chairperson SBI Ms. Naheed Memon at her office here on Wednesday, said a statement.
They discussed the progress and offer made by US Investor to establish Fabrication Laboratory in Karachi.
It was discussed that the Motwani Jadeja Foundation of US Investor Ms. Asha Jadeja has made offer about establishing a modern Fablab equipped with latest technologies in Karachi, if 2000 square yards land is provided to the Foundation.
The Foundation will also provide financial assistance to materialize the new ideas of students of schools, colleges, universities and people come up with creative ideas. The Foundation will also host annual exhibition "Maker Fest" of new inventions, which it had already been hosted in United States, Europe, Africa and Japan.
It may be noted here that Asha Jadeja had helped over 100 companies at their initial stages which include Google, Paypal, CISCO and CITRIX.
