University senior professors are assets of Punjab University (PU) and they have an important role in raising the standard of education. Punjab University will provide all necessary facilities to them for education and research.
These views were expressed by vice-chancellor, Arshad Mahmood while addressing the special ceremony of giving laptop computers to the senior professors here on Tuesday.
Registrar Professor Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan and Director IT Centre Kamran Abid were also present on the occasion. After implementation of video conferencing system between Lahore and Gujranwala campuses, now the university is planning to start distance learning and online teaching programmes. "The teaching courses of B.Com, BBA, Banking and Finance and IT will be offered in the beginning. It will gradually expanded in other disciplines.
