Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Mirpurkhas, Rana Salimullah Khan, was arrested by a team of Mirpurkhas police from Islamabad on Monday following issuance of non-bailable warrants for him as well as some other police officials by the judge of Second Additional Session Court, Mirpurkhas.
The former DIG was stated to be an absconder in a case under proceeding in the Second Additional Session Court. Report said former SHO, town police, Nazar Mohammad Panhwer, had registered a case against the then DIG Rana Saleemullah, besides Inspector Shahid, constables Saleem, Danish, Amjad and Ramzan. Constables Danish and Saleem had been arrested by the police soon after the registration of the case, while the remaining persons were absconding.
