Jordan's state grains buyer has bought 100,000 tonnes of feed barley in a tender for the same amount that closed on Wednesday, European traders said. The price was said to be $259.50 a tonne C&F for 50,000 tonnes for shipment in the first half of June and $253 a tonne C&F for 50,000 tonnes in the second half of June.
Origin of the 50,000 tonnes for first half June shipment was said to be optional. Russian barley was said to have been sold for second half June shipment. In its last international barley purchase on January 31, Jordan bought 100,000 tonnes at $238 a tonne c&f.
