The Karachi Port handled 82,863 tonnes cargo including 61,135 tonnes import, 21,728 tonnes export cargo and 3,073 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 73,163 tonnes dry cargo including 41,519 tonnes general cargo; 27,132 tonnes coal; 4,512 tonnes cement and 9,700 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. SiX ships namely Hyundai Advance, Y M Energy, M.T.Swat, Primrose Ace, Golina and Kapsali sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Iran Sattari, Soon Fu, Conti Esperance, Bunga Melati-4 and Sea Glory are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Iran Sattari, Kerasia-S and Conti Esperance expected to sail on Friday, while two vessels viz Bunga Melati-4 and Sea Glory expected to sail on Saturday.
Three vessels viz Oel Victory, Ltc Calvin P. Titus and Pacific Arrow due to arrive on Friday, while five ships namely Bunga Delima, Wan Hai-311, Ninos, Iran Baabaei and Valbella are due to arrive on Saturday.
Six ships namely C.V. ACX Tsubaki, C.V. MSC Panama, C.V. Hammurabi, C.V. Saudi Tabuk, M.V. Afamia and M.V. New Leader sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five ships namely C.V. CSAV Ningbo, C.V. Xiang Wan, C.V. Sima Pars, M.T. Oriental Miho and M.V. Captain George-L due to take berths at Container Terminal, Angro Terminal and IOC Berth respectively on Friday. Chemicals carrier M.T. Chemstar Ace due to arrive on Friday, while four more ships namely C.V. CMA CGM Aegean, C.V. MSC Germany, M.T. Regent and M.T. Al-Maqwa are due to arrive on Saturday.
