Speakers in All Pakistan Sajjada Nasheens convention held here on Monday unanimously rejected the imposition of extreme religious views which were based upon personal whims and interpretations. The convention was presided over by Sajjada Nasheen Tunsa Sharif Khawja Attaullah Khan and attended by over 60 Sajjada Nasheens from across the country.
The speakers said Islam is a religion of peace, harmony and tolerance. It stood for the equality, brotherhood and regard for basic human rights, they added. They rejected extreme views propagated by a handful of elements who wanted to distort the real image of the greatest religion.
Condemning suicide attacks, they said, these are un-Islamic and against its teachings. "It is need of the hour that we should collectively stand against the menace of terrorism, extremism and religious intolerance," they added. President, All Pakistan Sajjada Nasheens Khawja Attaullah Khan in his speech underlined the need for following the real message of Islam for the better future of coming generations.
He asked the countrymen to reject those extremists who teach a lesson of brandishing sticks or guns. Later responding to mediamen, he said that an advisory committee has been formed under his guidance, which would decide about its future political course. He told that future political alliance with any political party was possible. The convention was addressed by Hazrat Amir Anis, Pir Ahmed Shah, Pir Syed Ali Shah, Pir Mohammad Anwar, Pir Sadaat Sharif and others.
