Provincial Co-ordination Minister Saleem Saifullah will inaugurate national seminar on the legendary Sufi Pushto poet Rehman Baba (1863-1711 ) at the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Tuesday.
Professor Pareshan Khattak, former chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC), former vice-chancellor, Peshawar University and former chairman of Pakistan Academy of Letters, has been invited as the chief guest along with Professor Robert Sampson, who translated Rehman Baba's works in English.
At the seminar, Professor Taha Khan will recite Urdu translation from work of Rehman Baba, remembered as a nightingale in Pushto literature, and who is placed alongside another great Pushto warrior poet, Khushal Khan Khattak.
