Mr Rizwan Akhund has been practising law for over 15 years at the highest international levels. Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1991, he practises corporate, commercial, banking, financial, securities and foreign investment law in Pakistan.
He is a founding director of the College of Accounting and Management Sciences, and was the architect and main draftsman of the law and regulations governing the Central Depository System of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited.
Between 1999 and 2007 Mr Akhund practised law in Sydney, Australia, specialising in project, asset and structured trade finance, ship finance and international trade finance law and financial restructuring and recovery. He has been the lead lawyer in numerous high-value transactions, and has worked on projects in over 40 jurisdictions covering all 5 continents. He is admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Mr Akhund heads CAMS School of Law as its Executive Director and Dean.
