Dewan Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui, Group Managing Director of Dewan Mushtaq Group, has denied any dispute in the family, and said that the group is standing on strong footing. He was addressing a press conference here on Friday to highlight the group's past, present endeavours and predicted a very bright future.
He underscored the group's unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of the country, and underlined the importance of the sincere contribution of the private sector enterprises in the growth and prosperity of the local economy. The Dewan Mushtaq Group, one of the largest industrial and trading conglomerates in Pakistan has a successful business history of more than 90 years.
It has diversified business interests covering synthetic fibres, automobiles, cement, textiles, sugar, fertiliser, information technology, packaging, oil and gas exploration, retailing and commodity trading.
He said its operations were recognised in producing quality products for different markets, and added the corporate philosophy of the group laid stress on straight forward business dealings, spirit of social service and human respect and work as worship.
Besides its sincere efforts and commitment towards contributing to the progress and prosperity of the nation, Dewan Mushtaq Group always strived to stand ahead of the others in social services projects and provided unmatched support to the government in improving the well-being of the masses, he added.
Dewan Mushtaq Group was also involved in a large number of philanthropic activities, he said, adding that a wide range of medical facilities had been established in many urban and rural areas which were equipped with latest medical equipment and expertise.
The Dewan Farooque Medical Complex, a 400-bed medical facility, donated to Sindh Institute of Urology Treatment, was one of the major social service projects by the group, he said.
He said Dewan Mushtaq Group had not only set up schools, mosques and hospitals in their respective plants, but also in many far-flung rural areas, especially in interior Sindh. These facilities were an endeavour by Dewan Mushtaq Group to make a difference in the lives of the people of this country, he added.
Over the past 50 years, Dewan Mushtaq Group has ventured into major projects that have not only helped in establishing the group as one of the most successful business houses in Pakistan, but also contributed towards the prosperity of our country.
