Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has trained more than 1,300 principals and heads of private educational institutions and sensitised them for bringing change management in targeted schools in 92 workshops arranged under School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP).
The foundation has also trained more 25,000 teachers through 640 cluster based training workshop in 35 districts of the province in time span of one year. This was stated by Punjab Education Foundation Chairman Shahid Hafeez Kardar during a meeting held to review the teachers training programme. Managing Director Dr Allah Buksh Malik was also present in the meeting.
Shahid Hafeez Kardar has said that Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) has also been launched and PEF is focusing on accreditation of training mentors. He said that Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) is focused to achieve the target of quality education through synergy and synchronisation, sharing resources, knowledge, vision, wisdom, perceptions and accumulated expertise in Public Private Partnership. He said that PEF has evolved comprehensive system of certification of qualified trainers in Punjab.
In order to cater training requirements at secondary level, PEF has bought interactive 3D animated software Eureka from Marriala consultants. The objective is to provide conceptual clarity and fill knowledge gaps in physics, chemistry, biology, English and mathematics through 3D animated illustrations. This software has provided a new dimension to PEF training programme. The operational use of the cutting-edge technology has given PEF a competitive edge to ensure integrity of performance and service delivery, he added.
