Unionised workers at South Korea's second largest carmaker Kia Motors on Tuesday began a six-hour strike, which the company said would cost more than 30 million dollars in lost production.
Kia, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor, said its 28,000-strong union launched the stoppage after the company rejected its demand for a 8.9 percent increase in wages. One-day work stoppage would result in lost production of 1,900 vehicles worth 28 billion won (30.5 million dollars).
