Dr Naushin Mahmood has been appointed acting Vice Chancellor of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, (PIDE) with effect from June 12, 2007. According to a notification of the Planning Commission of Pakistan here today Dr Naushin Mahmood was Dean, Faculty of Development Studies at the PIDE.
A degree awarding university and an autonomous institution of national and international repute to produce high quality research in economic and demographic issues of Pakistan.
Dr Naushin obtained her Masters degree in Population Studies from Harvard University and Ph.D in Sociology, with a major in Population and Ecology from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
