Different wings of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Thursday observed the black-day (July-5) when General Zia-ul-Haq toppled an elected government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. People's lawyers forum today organised a rally, which began from district courts under the leadership of Rana Javed Ahmed, divisional president, Habib-ullah Shakir President of MHCBA, Manzoor Qadri.
PPP (human rights wing) also held a meeting chaired by Salim-ur-Rehman Mayo Provincial Chief. PPP (women wing) also held a meeting chaired by Begum Saeeda Jamal Labar, which was addressed by Begum B A Jigar, Begum Shama Awan, and Begum Memona. They said that General Zia-ul-Haq had destroyed the democratic system in the country by ousting an elected popular government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
