Acting Chief Justice Rana Bhagwandas on Saturday directed the Ministry of Interior and Inspector General of Police Islamabad for making comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements for the judges of the apex court, building of the supreme court, and the residences of the honourable judges.
According to a press release issued by the Supreme Court here on Saturday, the acting chief justice also directed SSP security to monitor and supervise the security arrangements and submit report to the Registrar of the supreme court on 30th of every month for perusal.
The acting chief justice of Pakistan noted that the security measures for the protection of judges of the supreme court, the main supreme court building and the allied buildings such as (residences and rest houses) were inadequate. The police personnel deputed at the supreme court of Pakistan are constrained by lack of required strength of personnel as well as condition of escort vehicles.
