District administration has established a facilitation center at Jinnah sports complex for the parents whose children are still in the besieged Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafza since the operation started five days ago.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Amir Ali Ahmed told APP on Saturday that the center has been established to ensure their safety and to lodge them at a proper place. He said they would be provided food and given all information about their kith and kin at one place.
"We have deputed special staff at the center which will be available round the clock to help the worried parents and relatives who came from various parts of the country," Amir said. A large number of children are still being detained and used as human shield by the administration of Lal Masjid as the operation entered the fifth day Saturday.
The parents and relatives, mostly from NWFP, tribal areas and Kashmir, at present, do not have a proper place for boarding and lodging and are staying at open places around Aabpara and Melody.
