The volume amounted to 297,704,600 shares, which was 56.75 percent of market total and 80.70 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 524,609,900 and 368,876,500 shares, respectively. BR Oil and Gas Index was the most active sector with a turnover of 89,569,500 shares. It closed at 2,307.10 with a net positive change of 30.07 points or 1.32 percent.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 6,581.25 with a net negative change of -10.99 points and percentage change of -0.17. The turnover for this sector was 86,502,400 shares. BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 2,056.45 with an upward change of 17.02 points and percentage change of 0.83. The volume of this sector was 81,055,400 shares.
BR Cement Index closed with a turnover of 40,316,000 shares. It saw a fall of -26.06 points or -1.28 percent, closing at 2,013.09. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,607.64 with a negative change of -4.2 points or -0.26 percent. The turnover for this sector was 11,757,200 shares, which was again the lowest among BR Indices.
