The passengers travelling to India by Samjhota Express can now reserve their seats 30-day in advance at all the Online Computerised Reservation Offices of Pakistan Railways for the Lahore-Wagah sector.
According to a notification of Pakistan Railways, the passengers of Samjhota Express have been provided online access to reservation just like other inland passengers from Monday (July 16). The passengers would be required to present their original passport with a valid visa to purchase the ticket. The Computerised National Identity Card will also be checked by the booking staff in case of a Pakistani citizen.
The manual reservation at Lahore Station will be stopped the same day, it said. The passengers of Samjhota Express can book their seats 30 days in advance from any computerised online reservation terminal at Karachi Cantt, Karachi City, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Multan, Rohri, Sukkur, Faisalabad and Quetta. However, there will be no online return reservation facility available for India bound passengers between Wagah-Lahore.
The current reservation of this train will be available with Current Reservation Counter of M/s Pracs at Lahore Railway Station, said the notification issued by Chief Commercial Manager of Pakistan Railways.
