Nation urged to foil anti-state elements designs

The religious scholars and Ulema have urged upon the people that they should forge complete unity among the ranks foiling the nefarious designs of anti-state and terrorists in the country. Some hypocrites and self-seekers were misguiding and instigating the masses in the name of Jihad but on ground realities was entirely different, they cautioned.
While addressing the Friday prayers they stated such anti-elements were trying to hoodwink the masses in the name of Jihad adding that it is very unfortunate that they had initiated Jihad against the countrymen. Islam is a religion of brotherhood, tolerance and peace and it strongly condemns the killing and bloodshed of innocent people and suicidal attacks, they added. These activities were earning the bad name for Islam and Pakistan because some foreign countries were linking these activities with Islam, they said.
On this occasion Ulema and religious scholars highlighted the philosophy of Islam and stressed upon the Muslim Ummah to forge unity among their ranks for the supremacy of Islam and averting the threats to Islam.
They said that we could overcome our multifarious problems by following the golden teaching of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and by observing the golden ethics of Holy Quran.
The Ulema stressed the need of moulding the lives in accordance with the tenets of Islam and collective efforts should be made for defusing the misconceptions developed against Islam in western countries.
They were of the opinion that such anti-Islamic and anti-state forces were trying hard to create misconceptions about Islam by linking terrorism with Islam. The religious scholars appealed to the faithful that they should demonstrate unity and brotherhood and proved themselves as true Muslims for vanishing the misconceptions about Islam.
The Ulema and religious scholars also stressed upon the followers that they should keep a vigilant eye on suspected persons and watch their activities in their respective localities and fulfil their religious and national duty. Special Dua on this occasion was offered for unity, prosperity, solidarity of the country in all mosques of Sialkot and other parts of Sialkot district.
