Three people were killed and three others injured when assailants opened fire at an engineering survey team in Zehri, Khuzdar district on Wednesday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Supervisor Muhammad Nadim, driver Muhammad Ali and a worker Babu whereas the injured as Muhammad Azim and Wiqar besides an unidentified man who were shifted to Quetta for treatment.
The survey team was engaged by a contractor of the provincial Communication and Works department. They were working on a road from Zehri to Anjira cross. The assailants fired at the team from a nearby hill and fled away.
