The faculty members of the University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi (UAAR) hosted a dinner to celebrate the upgradation of teaching posts in connection with the announcement made by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz regarding upgradation of teaching posts.
UAAR, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan along with Deans/Directors and faculty members attended the dinner. Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan speaking on the occasion highly appreciated the decision of upgrading the teaching posts. He expressed the hope that upgrading of teaching posts would encourage teachers and help to further improve their competence and professional skills.
Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan showed his commitment to bring UAAR in line with International Standards. He asked for more dedicated research and teaching by the teachers of the University, so that it evolves as a model institute of the country.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz had announced a new policy for the public sector universities on the World Teachers Day. According to the policy the post of lecturer has been up graded to BPS-18, Assistant Professor to BPS-19, Associate Professor to BPS-20 and Professor to BPS-21.
