The present government is committed to provide maximum health facility and better education to the masses particularly to the poor living below the line of poverty, for which the budgetary allocation has been increased.
This was stated by Zila Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil while holding meeting with Executive District Officers, heads of various Government institutions and other NGOs at Zila Nazim Secretariat Hyderabad today. He said that previously the budget for health purposes was Rs 7 Crore, which had been increased to Rs 250 million, thus Rs 50 million are being provided per month for provision of health facilities in hospitals.
The Zila Nazim Hyderabad said that total allocation for health and education sectors of Hyderabad District is Rs 2.10 billion, which is 85 percent of total budgetary allocation. He further stated that it is now the responsibility of district officers to do the needful and work hard for achieving better results.
Standard and better services be enhanced in education and health sectors of district, while facilities are being provided in educational institutions of far flung areas particularly in rural areas.
For redressal of grievances and problems of people, a complaint cell is already functioning and people can lodge their complaints. For prompt health care and EPI programme, new refrigerators are being purchased. He said that the funds are being utilised properly and efforts are being made to fulfil the needs from available sources. DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri and others also attended the meeting.
