Terrorists have no religion: Shehbaz Sharif
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that terrorists had no religion and geographical identification, they were only terrorists.
He was conversing to elected representatives belonging to different districts who called on him, here.
The Chief Minister said that 200 million Pakistanis were united against terrorism and ready to nip this evil of terrorism in the bud by dwindling nefarious designs of terrorists.
He said, "Blast at Bedian Road near the van of census team is extremely regrettable and we commiserate with the families of martyrs and injured persons."
"Pakistanis are united against extremism and terrorism and such cowardly acts can not shake our resolution to get rid of terrorists and their facilitators," he added. Â Â He said that elected members also had to play their role to bring peace in their region.
Those who called on Chief Minister included MNAs Moin Wattoo, Azhar Qayyum Nahra, Member Punjab Assembly Mehar Fayyaz, Chairman District Council Gujranwala Mazhar Qayyum Nahra and former MNA Mudassar Qayyum Nahra.
Provincial Minister for Local Government Mansha Ullah Butt was also present on the occasion.
