Power supply to flour mills in Landhi, Korangi industrial area and other localities in the city was suspended due to heavy rains on Thursday hitting their production. According to AAJ TV channel 50 flourmills of the city are without electricity, fearing the shortage of flour.
The president of Korangi Flour Mills Association, Ansar Javed told the AAJ TV that as many as 50 mills remained closed due to power breakdown on Saturday while today was a public holiday. The mills could not produce the required quantity of flour, he added.
