Thul Police in compliance with orders of Supreme Court against a Jirga verdict, arrested many people here on Friday. SC taking suo moto notice of jirga which had given order giving hand of five underage girls in marriage as compensation, had issued orders to police for arrest of Jirga holders.
In compliance with court orders, police conducted raids for arrest of accused. Many persons were arrested, while main accused including PPP MNA Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Pir of Barchundi Sharif Mian Abdul Khaliq, Thul taluka Nazim Ali Akbar Khan Banglani, Muqadam Dad Muhammad Nandwani were still at large. Police established pickets in area and policemen were deployed at residence of MNA Mir Hazar Khan.
