Undefeated IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham said on Sunday he wants a glamorous winner-takes-all unification fight with reigning WBO and WBC champion Jermain Taylor in the United States.
After "King Arthur" showed no pity by putting mandatory challenger and fellow German-Armenian Khoren Gevor in hospital after his 11th-round knockout on Saturday night in Berlin, Abraham insists he is ready to conquer the States.
Two more fights are being organised for the 27-year-old in Germany before Abraham plans to meet Taylor to try and unify the IBF, WBC and WBO titles early next year.
"I want to beat Tayler and become a super champion. If I lay down a goal, I always achieve it," said Abraham, who is considering a move up to supermiddleweight. After his impressive 11th round knockout win over Gevor on Saturday, Abraham was in no mood for pity.
He caught his opponent with a swift upper cut after 2min 41sec of the 11th round which flung the challenger's head backwards and he slumped to his knees. The 28-year-old was left prostrate on the canvas for a few minutes before he was taken to hospital and monitored overnight.
It was Abraham's 19th knockout and his 24th win from 24 professional fights, but he had no pity for his brave opponent, who soaked up the pressure.
