Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights (PCHR) Chairman and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Riaz Fatiyana has directed the police to set up a special police cell to overcome the increasing incident of the theft, robberies in Toba Tek Singh district. He expressed these views while addressing an open court in Pir Mehal on Thursday.
While expressing his grave concern over the increasing crime incidents in the district, he said the police cell would check the increasing activities of anti-social elements in the district, probe into the crimes and unveil real culprits, who would be given exemplary punishment.
District Police Officer Toba Tek Singh Raja Munwar Ahmad, SDPO Kamaliya Munwar Hussain Bhatti, nazims and a large number of citizens were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the notables of the area briefed Riaz Fatiyana that increasing theft and robbery incidents had created uncertainty and people felt insecure. On the occasion, Riaz Fatiyana directed the high police officials to take stringent security measures to ensure security to the life and property of citizens.
Meanwhile, DPO Kamaliya Munwar Hussain Bhatti also announced constitution of a special investigation cell for crime control, which consists of police officer of Kamaliya Saddar Police Station, Pir Mehal Police Station and Rajana Police Station. He also assured every possible support to overcome crime.
