The Department of Botany, GC University Lahore and Bunyad Foundation-Literacy Community Council Pakistan has mutually agreed upon establishing academic and research links.
According to this agreement, both the parties will collaborate in research projects, exchange of faculty and researchers for short-term and long-term visits, joint seminars, workshops, symposia and exhibitions.
The official MoU signing ceremony between the two institutions would be held on August 25, 2007 (Saturday) at 11am in the Vice Chancellor's committee room of the GCU Lahore. Moreover, the Economics Department of the GC University Lahore is holding an invited lecture on "Dispute Settlement Mechanisms and trade remedies under WTO" in the post graduate seminar room on 25th August 2007 at 10am.
Ms Shandana Gulzar Khan, Legal Affairs Officer permanent mission of Pakistan to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Geneva, Switzerland, would be the keynote speaker.
In her presentation, Ms Shandana Gulzar will highlight current topic in Dispute Settlement Mechanisms and trade remedy laws and impacts of both on the economy of Pakistan and its human development elements. GCU organises this lecture in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce.
