SAP AG said on Wednesday that it will release a line of business management software next month, featuring programs that are designed to be delivered to customers over the Internet. The product, which SAP has developed under the code name "A1S", is targeted at mid-size businesses and set to be released on September 19.
It will also represent the German company's first major effort to get into an area known as "on-demand" software, or computer programs that users access over the Internet rather than by running them on their own computers.
