Egypt's main government wheat buyer said on Tuesday it bought 85,000 tonnes of Russian wheat. Said el-Hefny, vice chairman of the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), gave the following breakdown of the purchases:
-- 60,000 tonnes from Silverstone at $303 per tonne, FOB, for shipment October 16-31
-- 25,000 tonnes from Horus at 1,946 Egyptian pounds ($344) per tonne, landed cost, for delivery November 11-20.
