The Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited has posted Rs 2,568.569 million as profit after tax in the half year period ending June 30 as compared to Rs 2,468.572 million earned in the corresponding period in 2006.
The net mark-up/return/interest income of the bank increased to Rs 7,974.921 million in this period against Rs 3,708.476 million in the same period last year, while total non-mark-up/interest income surged to Rs 2,854.547 million against Rs 1,375.903 million previously. The bank's profit before tax stood at Rs 3,851.622 million in the first half of 2007 against Rs 3,407.670 million in the same period in 2006.
