A broad-based integrated plan is being evolved by the city municipal corporation to provide every possible civic amenity to the citizens, official sources said.
The sources told APP here on Wednesday that AJK government was seriously contemplating to replace the existing heads of the civic institutions including Municipal Corporations, District Councils and Municipal Committee belonging to the local government department.
Besides it would induct of the suitable political heads to improve the performance of the civic bodies, it added. The sources informed that the toll-free telephone line No 16 was being installed in the Municipal Corporation offices in the near future. Citizens would have direct toll-free access through this telephone line round-the-clock in case of getting any civic service from the field MC staff, it added.
Referring to the plan to resolve the public problems and quick expedition of completion of the work related to the Municipal Corporation, the sources said that issues like approval of designs of the buildings including houses, shops and plazas in the municipal jurisdiction will be resolved in stipulated time from 15 days to 30 days.
The source said that an extensive campaign against the illegal encroachments and mechanisation of the cleanliness system in the city were the foremost priorities of the body.
